From
Bridget Metcalfe - BBC Essex Live Music Correspondent
I present the Live Gig Guide on BBC
Essex on Friday afternoons (around 4.45pm).
If you are a band or artist doing gigs in
Essex, you are welcome to e-mail me with details as I'd like to mention your
gigs "on the air" on Friday afternoons from time to time.
Whenever I can, I also like to include details
on the BBC Gig Guide website page (that's www.bbc.co.uk/essex
then look for the Entertainment and Music pages
within and you'll find Bridget Metcalfe's Gig Guide page)
and/or also on my own website (which is linked from the BBC site) where I list
all the gigs that I know about each and every week (that's www.bridgetmetcalfe.com
and look for the BBC Gig Guide page within).
I like to cover all music styles
"on the air" from classical to pop to folk to roots to bluegrass to
jazz to rock etc etc, as this means that it's a "proper" Gig Guide featuring everything
that is going on out there on the live music scene.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Bridget Metcalfe
BBC Essex Live Music Correspondent

BANJO STOLEN
A "Concertone" short neck tenor banjo With no resonator was stolen
from a car in Brighton this afternoon. It is in Maple and reckoned to be Chicago made inthe 1920s. It was in a hand shortened soft gig bag type case also containing
an "Inteletouch" clip on electronic tuner. Its owner is inconsolable so I would be most grateful if anyone seeing the
banjo or possibly being offered it for sale would contact me or the police.
My details: Simon Barnett simonzb@aol.com
